Abstract
Drug effect is depend on bioavailability of preparation and also bioavailability is largely depend on dissolution rate. This study was attempted to evaluate bioavailability of preparations for drug choicel among preparations by the dissolution
test
and
content uniformity test of commercial chlordiazepoxide hydrochloride tablets.
The dissolution test was conducted in aquas and artificial gastric juice using basket method with four chlordiazepoxide hydrochloride preparatiosn(A, B, C, D) which were pharmaceutically equivalent.
@ES The results were as following;
@EN 1) The dissolution rate in aquas was higher in the order of four different brands A>B>D>C.
2) The dissolution rate in artificial gastric Juice was higher in the order of four different brands C>B>A>D.
3) Content uniformity of four different brands was better in such order as B>D>C>A.
4) There was no relationship between dissolution rate and content uniformity.
